SW, you literally beat me to it.....was just about to say the same thing.....a super typhoon up there this time of year would be extremely unusual I would think?

Possibility of a further back up system to come also in a week or so time too?

Yeh, might have to organise a day off work next week (my holidays don't start to till the 17th). How big do you think it will be? Looks like a lot of the energy will sail straight past, but I could be wrong.

What do you think about the low popping up in the coral see mid next week? Still too far out?

Not sure a lot will sail past with that secondary fetch popping up off the SW tip of NZ.....yeah sure the big fetch is aimed at CB/NZ etc, but the secondary fetch (if she comes to fruition) is looking good. And it's guaranteed to be pumping as I won't be anywhere near surf next week!!!

I think that low progged in the Coral Sea is well worthy of keeping a weather eye on. I just see a glorious autumn pattern unfolding from here on in.

alls i meant was summer and the hot putrid run of humidity and northerlies is behind us. it wasn't a comment aimed at surf potential.

things have finally cooled down, and there's a bit of a permanence feel to it all.
