i reiterate the bonzer egg experience - i rode a 6'3 a few weeks back, which is basically a mid-length for my girlish frame. It was chest high and mushy and the board was great fun. Drove past the shoulder and whipped through turns. Didn't feel like it lacked any performance in sub-par waves. If my mid-length spot wasn't already filled, i'd grab one.

Not so wave height I found when I had a Bonzer Egg but more a decent runner with a bit of a face. Didn't like it in summer but loved it in off shores any size.

I can imagine the swearing when I tell jd what's up next :). I'm definately interested in another 7' 0". My rehab board is 22" wide so a bit too wide. A more pulled in 7'er from josh would hit the spot, and be good for the better days once my knee gets closer to 100%. I'm probably 60% now

Tell you what, my current 7'er has the McKee setup. Fast as all fkukk but quite responsive.

My 7''2" egg. Plenty of old fart volume but beautifully foiled out. Good for anything except short period slop.

Last couple of mid lengths 6'9 and 7'2 I have got down to 20 1/4 wide from 20 3/4 really enjoying the reduction.

Mine have always been wider than my 77kg needs, so next one I'm going to go as narrow as I can without going silly. I reckon I could get away with 20 1/2 or so. Don't want it to end up gunny though, god knows I don't need a gun haha. The older I get the less foam I like though

Beery I'm over 100 kilo easy just now and heading to 50, these boards are 2 3/4 x 20 1/4. Absolutely no probs with paddle in, the shorter has a kinda double ender shape ( but nose thinner than tail) and I reckon that makes such a huge difference for catch ability and once your a away the narrower board feels sensational. That's a big board for some of the rippers on here but I'm finding it a real nice balance. But with you a bit here, I'm stretching my boards out a little and reducing width and thickness for better waves.

7' 6'' should be 21-1/2'' or the temp gets shity flat spots as you come down in length reduce width accordingly

Well, the Mega Mini Magic is working out to be an excellent board for a Perth summer. It really does achieve the what the tired salesman's cliche claims, "paddles like a mal, surfs like a short board". It would want to, 23.5" wide, nearly 4" thick.

The wide nose with the deep, rocker-straightening concave gets you in early and generates great speed, the huge rocker and V in the tail provides the looseness and manoeuvrability. There are hesitations at certain stages as the extreme elements of the design come into play, but they mesh reasonably well.

Good design from a shaper who dared to do it. I think it will go well in bigger waves too.

Not far off being cashed up enough for a newy. Gotta get my tax done but unless I get screwed ( I've been screwed before by the taxman :( ) I should be putting in to order :)
