Drunk?

Maybe the best wave in the world, sandunes, rad people. Wildlife.

Probably a bunch of heavily armed Afrikaaner mercenaries who'd be absolute cnnuts but fun to get on the piss with

Probably some cities with really good underground african hip-hop and hi-life scenes.

Lots of aids.

"Namibia has a population of 2.1 million people and a stable multi-party parliamentary democracy. Agriculture, herding, tourism and the mining industry form the backbone of Namibia's economy.
Approximately half the population live below the international poverty line, and the nation has suffered heavily from the effects of HIV/AIDS, with 15% of the adult population infected with HIV in 2007."

great. Go get fcuked.

Worth it for this.

One of these areas, known as the Succulent Karoo, is home to over 5,000 species of plants, nearly half of them endemic; fully one third of the world’s succulents are found in the Karoo.

I'd wear that Teo : I've been to the Succulent Karoo.

I went there on a non-surfing trip, but went along the coast near Swakopmund for 2-3 days. It was a bit of tourist trip in a tour truck that ran from SA to Etosha and back, so very soft core.

Awesome dunes and sandboarding. Surf looked good, especially off the Cape Cross seal colony, but there's no way I'd go in the water next to 100,000 seals.
Also saw a 3-4m shark swim under the jetty at Swakupmund, but if you have the balls...

The cities Windhoek and Swakopmund were very German influenced and they seemed OK compared to some of the South African ones to me. Good food and clean.

Go to Etosha NP while you are there, amazing wildlife.

Sounds good, Reg. Shooting a film there or just getting some experience for the young one?

Sounds good. Where will you be based?

There are very long stretches of desert between the few things to do though, so I hope a 4wd and petrol money is included in the deal.

I hear it gets a bit sketchy up around the Angolan border sometimes, I'm sure KK could elaborate...

Yea…you can stay at my mates palace (it’s up really up market).

You need to get in touch with Chief Mangasutu Bafazi.

He has been fortunate to have inherited $50 000 000 from the Minister of defense

He needs to transfer the money to Australia

If you give him your bank details and your pin number he can deposit the money straight into your account.

For that .....he will give you 10 % in commission.... of the total amount he inherited.

Went there as part of a surfing holiday a fair while ago and I thought it was an incredible place.
If you pm me I will give you a couple of surf locations but the potential is unbelievable.
Great scenery sand dunes etc plus a massive canyon and some natural springs in the south. Etosha was pretty good although we went there at the end of the wet season (April), much better in June/July apparently but we still managed to see plenty of lions.
You'll love it

Drove from Botswana through Namibia mid eighties . Relatively safe (unless you're gonna put on Lycra ) , good beer , awesome deserts of all types . If you travel off highways be well prepared and remember to shake out air filter
Loads of inaccessible left points in diamond restriction areas which you wont get into (maybe it will be opened oneday ) . So obviously no diamonds , but you'll almost certainly come across these round boring looking rocks that if you crack open are full on crystals on the inside ..... whole lanscapes full of these stones scattered through the sand . Pretty amazing .
Great left reef set up at Gun's which is a touch softer than "Cory's left " ( I'll avoid using that one's real name which has been ridden since the eighties by a handful locals ) . No righthanders to speak of .
I'd been a couple months in Botswana so it wasn't a surf trip , but hoping to get there sometime again.
Hope seals dont bother you - neither jackals or hyenas ! Water gets down to 6 C with 45 C air just a couple K's inland from the coast and thick fog . Luderitz pretty amazing , and check out Fish River/Ai-Ais while you there .

Cycling round in lycra and you'll either be "loved til your bum hurts " or beaten up by some farmers .....
