You could call it the Thrusta.Nick Carroll wrote:Yeah maybe just put a single concave into it with a little vee behind the back fin, make it a round pin and have three fins roughly the same size and it'll go insane.

Re: Ask Carroll
Nick I noticed Uluwatu is going to be the location of a QS event. Probably a CT quality wave. If you could pick any 11 locations for next years Dream Tour without factoring any economics of hosting an event. Where would they be and why?

Re: Ask Carroll
Umm shit eh, that's actually tricky. Without the economics, local politics, and associated blah blah blah, pro surfing doesn't make any sense.
But I'll give it a shot. Certainly not Uluwatu.
Pipeline, duhhh
Teahupoo, also duhh
Tavarua/Namotu, triple duhh
Kandui area, Mentawai (Rifles, Nokandui, numerous other options within easy boat reach), because they're the best waves you can imagine
Barra de la Cruz, Oaxaca, Mexico, incredible right point surf
Jeffreys Bay, also extraordinary and a real challenge to read and exploit
Jakes Point, Kalbarri, complex awesome high-pressure lineup and a "manoeuvre" left as well as a barrel
Sunset Beach, fcuken hard work
Lennox Head, fantastic high performance wave, better than Snapper etc
Shipstern Bluff, because I'd like to see them try to master it (this would be a wildcard "hell wave" location that'd switch every year)
Some crazy beach break somewhere, probably in France or Portugal

No thanks for Lennox Head. It's good when the sand is good but unlike Snapper and the sand bypass it can be gutted for months.

We've got the biggest grom comp in the kuntry happening right now Loof.
Thats enough isn't it without having all the prize poodles take over the point for two weeks as well? Or should we open up every sacred place to commercial rape and pillaging?

Re: Ask Carroll
Reporting is not the same as endorsing Loof. You get that, right?
A dude reporting on the Syrian conflict can't be assumed to be endorsing either war or the Assad regime.

Re: Ask Carroll
Yeah, because Michael Ennis is gonna play for NSW. I just think that guy is an expert at losing football games.Braithy wrote:Nick, will Queensland win the next state of origin, and why?
Plus Cronk is back in, not that NSW can't counter him in the fortunate absence of Billy Slater, but they've only gotta not counter him for two minutes of the 80 for him to do what he's probably gonna do.
Re: Ask Carroll
From surfing to Syria, why the hell not.
