Summer seems to have arrived today. Car parks packed and so is the beach.
Got a park and had a fun session on the foamie.

Yep
Strange wind direction, straight west isn’t ideal for the Jewel of the East

great waves this morning!! I was in rhythm for the first time in ages at a surprisingly empty point lineup. Got a barrel!

Then I saw everywhere was good, and getting better now. This spring is amazing

Well, it’s rubbish up here.
Though I did go out in 2-3ft with a strong cross on yesterday arvo and had fun.
Used to surf that shit all the time growing up.

The farm 4 foot. Took the new freeflight single fin channel bottom out for a test run. Marginal conditions for its intended purpose, but could feel the potential of what’s to come. Easy board to surf, nothing new to try and figure out. Just that familiar line drive single fin feel but definitely some extra speed and drive thanks to the channels. It gets down the line very efficiently. Didn’t turn much, not much need to really. Just roll in, bottom turn, then aim down the line and cutback and the end.

Second go out again at the farm. Swell thickened a little but got inconsistent. Got a nice inside bowl that I managed to carve a few turns on. Board’s feeling great

swell booted v strongly this arvo on the northern beaches, solid deep southerly groundswell, occasional six foot sets, slamming! Lulls and sets every 5-8 mins.

I was also going to mention the occasional six foot wave but kinda wanted to play it humble. and even showed great restrain in not mentioning the amount of spare carparks.

Late season bukit is pumping for the next two weeks. I'll be there next Monday and I'm back to what is about 80% fit for me. Hope it lasts for all of November. Woohoo!
