Good work, coach.

Well I’ve seen him turn and his stance doesn’t appear overly wide or anything. It’s only two times I’ve surfed with him. Each time in shifty overhead tricky beach breaks. He’s going well considering.
Decided to chance the chest infection and paddle out. Occasionally the peak would hit further north and break clean through to the inside where it got hollow. Fluked one for the first wave. May as well have paddled in after that. Got a few others but nothing like that and long waits between sets.

I don’t need to coach him. You on the other hand only surf reforms close to the beach. And you can’t figure out wave sizes. And are utterly clueless about what locations work in what conditions. You’re beyond coaching. You should just give it all

i've been surfing the point alot lately before work. It's really starting to occur to me what an average wave it is.
It’s fun for about the first few seconds, then it’s fairly boring cutback material.

Thanks coach. As you said I'm beyond coaching though. So I will just keep on keeping on. Hope you're still surfing when you're my age, Big Fella.

Reforms close to the beach?
Aren't they "rip bowls".

The point is a really poor wave. When second reef starts breaking it’s better but as you said it becomes a burger after that. Compared with Sandon it’s not in the same league a wave that on the right angle grinds all the way through to the shacks.

You will have plenty of company. One of the best waves in NSW on its day really.

Second reef out near Voodoo is good too. Vooey can get good but like the point it fattens up after the first section. I reckon shoes is a better wave than the point

yeah, with the advent of social media and all the local hot groms trying to get "the shot" it's a fkn zoo down there. I only check it if I have a day off work.

Great wave to shoot in all honestly so many different vantage points. there's almost always someone buzzing drones around the break.

Are 1st, 2nd and 3rd reefs out near Voodoo crowded too now?

I had some very quiet surfs there in the 70s. Aaaah the tranquillity

Yep. That dang point has its grips in me big time.
It has taken a few years to get my head around the intricacies and now I'm just obsessed with it. Any chance I get I'm out there!
