Bodysurfed the left ripbowl down the south corner. Heaps of fun. Been at least ten years since I’ve taken it out.

Gurgling two-three foot east swell. Building. Terrible shape. Think I managed two turns on about six waves then came in. This was one of the better waves. Better day for being a cyclist.

Cool how the wind died for a while today - super clear, weird water temp variabilities, muscular set waves to 5', kinda wedged with two swell angles.

Yep, it's been pretty crowded with schoolies but still easy to get waves.

"Vicissitudes". Is that common parlance up in the point carpark?

Crowded with schoolies?

I've bought bus loads of them into Byron without a single surfboard.
Schoolies don't surf.

Well I saw a group of kids on mini-mal thrusters trying to jump off at the point the other day  .
There has been plenty of year 12s that have finished school for the year out in the lineups. I guess the ones in Ballina may be locals, but most of the ones from Lenno-Byron aren't.
I would think that the ones that plan on going on surfing holidays after exams aren't jumping on Steve's shuttle.

Would this be the Steve’s Airport Transfers bus/trailer I saw the other day?

it's all gone today. today was cack.

of course it's the first morning in a long time I could've surfed until my heart's content. All deadline long, the surf seemed to pump, but i was running around, away from it.

murphy's law.

I would call that catch-22 rather than Murphy's law.
