There were some waves about this morning though pretty jumbled and washy. Waiting for tomorrow morning when it's due to tidy up a bit.

it was swift and sudden the way it dropped.

chopped those jerusalem artichokes into chunks pan fried them in olive oil, then poached them in red wine vinegar with sliced russian garlic, chilli, and bay leaves. Added some broccoli at the end.

served with beer battered flathead.

it was choice bro.

Manly, lots of solid close outs close to shore.Rode an old board with Redex Fins screw in system. Apparently they don't make those fins anymore. Was nice riding a nicely foiled no nonsense board.

Steve, I reckon Kelly Slater won Teahupoo on an EPS board. Care to comment?

Yeah looked like one of his new firewires. He probably doesn't surf those though lol

It's fine. Just the romantic overreaches that caught my attention.

No. It's just that "Russian garlic" seemed to be a superfluous embellishment of writing when a more prosaic "garlic" might have done just as well. In much the same way that "counterbalancing" might have been sufficient enough a term, instead of "full Dionysian hand jive body torque"

Don't mind me. I dig your poetic stream of consciousness. Just feeling a little agitated as I've haven't surfed since Monday arvo. Tomorrow get ready for updates on mediocre surf updates about wonky / fun beach breaks.

I was just being accurate.

Italian garlic is much more finicky, I would never use it for a quick thrown together lunch.

The banks at north maroubra are good at the moment, and the conditions tomorrow will be a little better (wind dialing slightly more offshore, swell period ratcheting up a shave, swell direction dialling a little more from the south). - overall, it'll be a tad smaller tomorrow, but tidier and have a better right wall.

went home and grabbed a mal and a funboard and wetsuits, texted my daughter and told her to meet us in front of the pub.
super fun mal peelers.
the couple in front were from Michigan, flying a kite.

These rights were long and peeling.

One of the better little longboard waves is the left in front of the Pub when it's small.
