Surfed the most insane waist to shoulder high, ultra shallow point break tubes all arvo, on my single fin log. Holy shit call me a hipster but pulling cheater 5 barrels while hauling arse down the line is the most fun ever.

man, the water was ridiculously clear today. Had a hard time knowing where to sit because the swells were so see-through it ruined my depth perception.

heaps of marine life too, which maybe kept the crowd down, because it was fun bordering on epic at times... and with three other guys out.

Yep. Small, clean, uncrowded, offshore fun.

I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.

Think it'll be gone by then.
Only about head high on the take-offs.
Wasn't much at all on the beaches.

Has a habit of doing that at my local (on super low tides).

It was filling in a bit when I took this after two hours in the water.

Went out at Sandon yesterday. Slightly forgiving swell direction but still some big waves coming through. I managed to snaffle a few good ones.

I'll never forget the first time I paddled out there, I was totally shitting myself. It wasn't even that big but it packs a lot of power. I'm glad I've put the time in, I'm slightly more at ease these days- but jeez it can catch you out.

Yeah the South swells kinda glance off the side of it. Not much wind protection from the south either. It gets pretty blustery.

Some East in the swell and it packs some real punch out there

Yes the number of times I've scored a good one, paddled back out to what appears to be the same spot. Then take off on what looks like another similar wave....and get smashed.

Surfed up close at Long Reef apparently with a 6 metre GWS sniffing around (wonder if it's the notorious one coming back each year) ...oh well, waves were punchy on the banks and swear there were some 6ftrs in the mix today.
