Get some good ones, Cranked!
Re: Where did you surf today ?
No. The wind went side-on, that and the solid swell pushing water down the coast meant non stop paddling for 2.5 hours just to stay in position with regular beat ups when the sets came.
The wind dropped by 1pm and it cleaned up but I was done and a when a big set beat the shit out of me and washed me into shore, I gave up.
Thanks for asking.

Re: Where did you surf today ?
Hey Cranked what's the water temp like? Was ridiculously cool bit north of Canggu when I was there in July/August, coldest in decades according to an old expat. The locals - really good surfers, not kooks - were in LS springsuits and even a few steamers!
Re: Where did you surf today ?
It's warmed up a lot since those cold days, it's about half way to warm bath now

Re: Where did you surf today ?
A few wedges around this morning. Gotta love NE swell. So many more options.
Re: Where did you surf today ?
Damn the NE wind but it was better than it looked where I was on the NBs.
Re: Where did you surf today ?
Fun little windswell just starting to build.

Re: Where did you surf today ?
Wind may be a problem tomorrow, but should be plenty of size.
Re: Where did you surf today ?
Yep. It’ll be about trade off on size vs quality. The day of sidewinding wind burgers

Re: Where did you surf today ?
Just had a look out the back. It's pretty small. Maybe 1-2 foot down here! Wtf.
Is that just my part of the coast?

Re: Where did you surf today ?
Likely. As it’s 3-4 Ft NE swell here. If you got time probs head to W and further south of it for more swell

Re: Where did you surf today ?
Foamy fun at the Eastern Suburbs fave secret spot. Park on the second drive through. Nippers had finally finished.
Re: Where did you surf today ?
Surfed the mid Gold Coast this morning and I had a beautiful little bank to myself. It was turning the 1-2ft windchop garbage into fun little zippers. Like finding an Argyle diamond while shoveling pig shit.
I'm not sure if it was a congenital issue or some sort of TBI situation, but the lifeguard decided to set up the flags right in front of me, bang on the only rip within 300m in either direction.
He then flashed his lights and started waving at me to move.
The only bathers within cooee were a couple of elderly non-swimming Asian tourists, who saw the flags and moved 70m to be in front of the lifeguard, then promptly started doing their best to drown, despite being in knee-deep water.
That lifeguard would be seeded into the quarters of the comp, easy.

Re: Where did you surf today ?
Don't know what happened overnight but the swell changed direction up here, increased to a bit above head high and the wind went straight offshore.
Apparently nothing happening at Noosa but my local was going off.
I haven't had a proper surf for about 10 weeks apart from 2 waves last week.
Spent three and a half hours in the surf.
Gonna pay for it later.

Nice and quiet at a near-Ulus break this morning.
Perfect long low tide for it and only a handful out. Waves were inconsistent chest high, water glassy and crystal clear.
Great panorama of volcanoes shoulder to shoulder as the dry season smog is starting to lift.
I discovered there's a few small holes in the Bonzer power delivery system.
