Anyway it’s a shame. Had you spent a bit more time figuring it all out and a bit less time on the bong you’d have had some decent waves

To tell the truth eggs are one thing I avoid buying when I’m grocery shopping. So you may say I’m an intermittent egg buyer who usually lets someone else buy them.

didn't get on the end of a single joint or bong hit Godsave.

but yes, it was the fabled mini-mal at Millook.

two wetsuits mind you.

decent waves; nah.

even the fabled English sense of humour and banter I found a little underwhelming.

just a lot of half dead cnuts nursing hangovers on the weekends, mostly and then waiting for Friday to do it all over again.

Oh I scoped out one of Englands best secret spots Godsave and gave those pommies a lesson in Aussie power surfing they won't forget in a hurry.

somewhere in North Cornwall.

they all tried to stink-eye me out like it was Newport beach on a Monday morning.

actually that coast was almost more depressing, because I kept expecting real waves and didn't realise Ireland blocks most swells.
Should have headed down to South Cornwall Steve.

I'm not sure the Australian is wired up correctly to negotiate the complexity of tide, wind and swell that characterise many UK surf spots. It's a bit like rugby league v rugby union

you've done so much better trolling in your heyday Godsave.

mate, you'd be lucky to get out of a rip at Bondi.

there ain't that much to the UK swell window and the (north) Atlantic storm track.

the lows stand out like dogs bollox.

I think you’ve quite neatly just proven my point

Oh the macro is easy enough. It's the micro that I think the more, ah straightforward, Australian would struggle with. I'm not judging you for it, just stating facts

I like that you are always trying to deflate the superciliousness of the antiopodean surfer- thats a noble project. It's just the inherent inferiority complex of the UK surfer sometimes makes it all sound a bit tinny and desperate.

You don't need to prove anything to us Godsave.

Its probably a good thing that GSTQ does't head down under, he would spend the whole time compiling and reenforcing the vision of a stereotypical pommy whinger. First it'd be the heat and flies, then the vast distances need to travel ... then he'd start banging on about the uncouth inhabitants and their lack of culture, before asking why he can't get chips and gravy with his Chinese take away.
The moving finger writes and having writ moves on ... now all thy piety nor wit shall lure it back to cancel even half a line ... nor all thy tears wash out a single word of it.

To be fair, the flies, the heat, the tyranny of distance, the uncouth inhabitants, the lack of culture and the lack of UK/Asian fusion food is a real issue in Australia.

Apparently no one has ever got a decent hold down surfing in England. The weak short period fluff cant hold you down.

I got held down surfing Boscombe pier, for the first time.

I accidentally opened my mouth and got a gob full of polluted water from the stormwater drain there.

when I met my mother in law that night I had to run to the toilet to avoid projectile vomiting all over her.

true.
