Easier to ride in most every day surf.Thud wrote: ↑Tue Jun 11, 2019 8:37 pmHands up who is riding a sub 6ft Lis looking quad fish or twin. F$ck me they are everywhere.
I was chatting to a surfing acquaintance who I've know for 10 years, he's always ridden HPSB. He's now loving his Rarb Machado Seaside. He wouldn't have been seen dead on one 18 months ago.
Please explain this phenomenon
Phenomenon already peaked though.
I want Nightclub Dwight dead in his grave I want the nice-nice up in blazes

Many have also morphed hugely from the specialised Lis type fish, to make what can be a handful to a more user friendly design.
More curves, more rocker. Modern bottom contours. Looser fin setups.

Yes, but why is it acceptable now. A few years back you'd cop a sneer from riding an MR Twin! Are surfers sheep!! Influenced by peer pressure!!!!Slaves to fashion!!!!!Complete morons!!!!!!

….this was pushing off the wall not diving in.
...running out of breath underwater hasn’t been an issue. Not too bad for a 62 y/o who surfs irregularly.

The answer is yes.
Re: Just general surfing stuff
The board I snapped was 5'11" x 18' 3/4 x 2' 5/16
26 cl
It was a Stacy Reaper model and felt like a weapon! Second hand.
Are these dims fairly standard? Cos I want something similar, any hot tips or if one of you has a decent board around that, hit me up.
I'm always too broke to get customs. One day.

Makes it easy to score good boards that you wanted to try. Pity is you have to keep them if they don't work for you.Nick Carroll wrote: ↑Wed Jun 12, 2019 5:50 pmha ha the modern surfboard industry has killed the second hand market

Buy cheap 2ndhand then sell for the same price or a tiny bit less.
Re: Just general surfing stuff
So true. See many really good boards at some of the ‘garage’ board shops around. Some sit for a long while.Nick Carroll wrote: ↑Wed Jun 12, 2019 5:50 pmha ha the modern surfboard industry has killed the second hand market
Interestingly various Slater designs seem to pop up a bit.
