...and Eating chips and gravy from chip alley in Cardiff and drinking Brains SA.

The singing bit is a generalisation, but get yourself along to an international rugby match in Cardiff and you’ll hear it and feel it.

Watched a good Asher Pacey clip that featured multiple beach Beanpoles as the counterpoint to Asher. Those pathetic beach going boomers are everywhere.

One of my mates was running a water craft hire firm on the Passage for a friend while it was on the market.
Bought a SUP paddle from them.
Broke on first use.
No problem they said. We'll send it back to the supplier. They'll probably replace it. Might take a week or three.

I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.

Sideways are sorta like the Kmart of the surf world. There’s stuff I would buy from there but other things I’d stay clear of. Their boards are all made in Bali although shapes are licensed from from reputable shapers like Phil Myers from Free Flight, Webber, Annesley etc.

I’ve picked up some really cheap name brand wetsuits like an O’Neill 2mm LS steamer for $150.

Always swore that I’d never buy a board from there but when I was still commuting back from here every Friday. I had my usual Friday lunchtime surf before I’d jump on the plane. Snapper was pumping and I creased my board on my second wave. Gutted that I’d miss out. I drove to their Tweed store and bought a new board for $420 and was back in the water in 40 mins. The board went really well and ended up using it for 6 months until it started to delaminate around the tail pad so gave it to my daughter.

Thanks all. Cheap wetsuits are what I’d be keen on.

Red Bull TV has a pretty interesting 3 minute video on The Mechanics of Shipsterns Bluff.

Marine Engineers I suspect. Although a fitter and turner would come in handy.

I guess Larissa read the book I wrote about MC and Curren and the reverse vee, she pretty much quotes it throughout

The book was written to accompany MC's and TC's Reverse Vee Project board series, only 300 were ever printed and you only got one if you bought a board, I think there's like 30 left. I want to get it a wider readership. The tale of how these two extremely different people came across each other in a country foreign to both of them (SW France) and between them designed some of the best high performance surfboards ever made is pretty fascinating. Like: where does creativity come from?
