It doesn't star Thorpey. He was creative designer and Best Boy. And while I think about it, Grip.

Solet’s get this out there, you believe Mick Fanning is gay and he has had an affair with Ian Thorpe, is that right?

No of course not. I'm being silly. Keep your wig on.

So what if he is, I mean was. I'm enjoying the thoughtful sensitive Mick.

He's come along way since "the Jew" comment. Surprised he's working with Stab.

But the fact someone like you with tons on intel arcs up about it...

Just being childish because Mick went to a gay thing with Thorpey once. And good on him. Besides it was the MSB who giggled about it.

OK here’s something worth considering — why you avoid the use of the first person singular.

Many of your posts begin with a verb. “Went”, “drove”, “stopped”, “braised” etc. Almost never do you work the verb by using the modifier. We are supposed to assume it is “I”.

Just think about it for a bit.

Really?

I’ve seen this rumour expressed before, here and elsewhere. It’s weird because a) like so what if he was and b) it’s always employed in a suggestive way, never actually openly stated, yet somehow made to seem wrong or derogatory or something.

I figured I would call it out every time I saw it expressed in that way, so boom.

Well spotted. I could address the context......paradoxically.....Attempting to make it more personal by leaving out the first person singular. Of course I'm not alone in this. However the lack of hyperbole does set it apart. An exercise in understatement while hopefully conveying the pleasure I experience from the act. A bit of a wank in other words.

Really? I thought it was just RS fun because of a photo with Thorpey.

But Nick, do you really think it's inflammatory to call someone gay, even if they are not? Or as you say, it's the implication that if he were he be ridiculed or castigated (I said castigated). I could care less if it was said about me. Really. From now on please refer to me as Thud the impaler, bi sexual servant to the masses.

People won't like this but surfing has got to be the most homo erotic sport there is. It's ancient mariner meets the Spartans.Great!!!

Ok I know TF said something along those lines once and boy that went down a treat.

Anyway if there's real scuttlebutt in real surfing circles creating ripples best to knock it on the head then.

Fanno's Jew comment was put way out of context and was a pointed putdown of Chas Smith and not remotely intended as a racist slur against the Jewish people.

Yes, it was a display of unconcious racism. Like I said he has come a fair way,

I really do admire Fanning. He's allowed himself to try and become the person he wants to be.
