Somewhere german-speaking, no doubt
Re: General snow stuff
No! High altitude German speaking is either glaciers or expensive or spatially limited. We'll be 1km from a border with a town on each side so I'd better brush up on two languages. For a month.

France-Italy?
Re: General snow stuff
Had some wild weather, an icy day at a resort full of CNY tourists yesterday and an amazing day today in northern Honshu.
Re: General snow stuff
Had a great second week.
5 resorts, lots of snow.
A couple of the best powder runs I've had, and I've been pretty lucky in the past.
Definitely recommend having a car, despite having to dig it out and clear the snow off it a few times.

There's no shortage of snow where my mate is skiing in Japan, that's going by the photo taken from his room today.

5 different resorts in one week, with kids? Sounds certifiable boo.
Re: General snow stuff
Nah the kids are back at school.
Couple of mates.

FREEDOM!
Re: General snow stuff
Any standouts? Long uninterrupted fall line? Relaxed patrol?
Re: General snow stuff
I'll email you.
Some are fairly under the radar, loofy wouldn't be happy for me to blow them up.
You'd also greatly benefit from speaking some Nihongo for some of them.

Friends waiting at the train station in Japan today. Will the train even come?

It's Japan. Of course it did!

Nope, haven't been.
There's good snow in Iran too.
And my Serbian mate was telling me about his trip to Bosnia. Only 9 Euros for a day pass, but they have unexploded land mines and the occasional bear attack.
