I didn't know this guy but a number of my friends did.
Apparently hit his head on the board.

Just saw this. He was one of my late Uncles best mates. They moved up from Cronulla at the same time.
I'll say it. There's a lot of board there. A major risk.

Lol at you two. One of the most stylish, best surfers ever. As the guy in the clip said, 1% of the 1% of the 1%.
He was hopeless on the first 2 to 3 boards. Killed it on the Neck Beard, all right on the Lost and great on the last two. Guys a gorilla. Low in style high in power.
I'm not a hpsb'er by any means but much prefer to watch Dane bury rail and hack the fkukking shit out of a wave than watch the new school guys.

He is a great rail surfer on a HPSB. A powerpacked gorilla. Look at his body, he's a beast. Does he get enough speed out of his turn tops though? Does you burn to much speed in the bottom turn. Is he a relic like Mick and Parko? Does Toledo make him look like a 1 turn wonder? Probably.

I think Tom Curren once said "anybody can do one turn" pretty sure he also said "You can’t really do well in the contests riding something that you’re just into riding because it’s fun. You have to ride basically what everybody else is riding."

By chance I was looking at Dripping Wet Manly yesterday. They reckon their generic mals are a DT2 Taka copy....thoughts?
Also had a stack of Scorpion knock offs.
