The moving finger writes and having writ moves on ... now all thy piety nor wit shall lure it back to cancel even half a line ... nor all thy tears wash out a single word of it.

North end Maroubra. Fun little left bank reeling off like a mini point break.

I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.

South facing cove beach south of Shellharbour. Constant shoulder to head high plus. Paddled up the beach a bit and had a perfect reeling right hand bank mostly to myself.
Re: Where did you surf today ?
Popular northern beach (a ex pm's spot) - small but surprising fun before the high tide swallowed everything.
Re: Where did you surf today ?
Good day today. The last 2 days promised good swell and conditions, but it was pretty bad, cleaning up and working fitfully on the low tide. Today at 6am it also looked unspectacular, but by 7am it looked ridable.
I got out at 7:30am, glass, only a few learners in the water, but the first overhead set hit, no-one really paddling, and the sets kept coming, now frequent head and a half, rare doubles, no-one else trying, I had my pick of all the best peaks for 3 hours.
Then back at 1pm. only 6 out, more waves than takers. Inky black front moved up from Kuta at 3pm. Blown out by 3:30pm so I went in. It was probably glass again by 4pm, but I'd had more than enough.

Experienced the most rapid wind change I've ever seen this morning.
Nice. Reasonably strong offshore grooming the overnight bumps when I arrived. By the time I was wading out through the keyhole it just instantly swapped to a strong and I mean strong onshore. Blew the place out inside five minutes.

Re: Where did you surf today ?
this is so typical of tassie surfing. you wait until the tide to fill at like 1pm ... crisp offshore all day long until the point you're rubbering up and getting ready. and the onshore hits hard and within minutes it's a write off.Trev wrote: ↑Fri Nov 09, 2018 8:06 pmExperienced the most rapid wind change I've ever seen this morning.

there you are on a 6 degree day in full suit, boots and hood. do you paddle out and get wet in the 10 degree water, or take it all off and go home dry?
it was a constant conundrum.
