How did you find Scarecrows??
Fun, rippable, challenging, occasionally hollow, flawed.

run by a Canadian chick?
American/Canadian -long blondish hair... ... Her and her hubby run and own it....

I'm surprised people took it as a negative.
Really? That’s the only way I took it. Aggressive adult learners taking primo set waves and blowing them. Then positioning for more. Urrgghh.

Yeah, lovely woman. They run a nice set up. Pretty chill vibe and nice accommo/food etc. Was considering going back on a last minute trip recently but yeah, it adds up and with 2 young kids and a Mrs at home it feels way too indulgent.

2,350 usd for 10 days/9 nights full board and transfers to Padang. So not too bad but with the exchange rate not being great and another $1000 for flights I couldn't justify it.

Very flawed. Needs perfect swell direction and currents. Super sectiony and short walls generally. Some strong currents wrap around that corner. The reef is beautiful, hadn't been blasted when we were there. The snorkelling was way better than the waves. It was by far the poorest quality wave I surfed in the Ments. I've heard it can get good, we didn't get it like that, 3 times.

We had it good 7 days out of ten and zero currents.

Might have just had random poor 3 days of conditions.

So many breaks in the ments are wind or swell affected though. I have a mate who went back to the same resort and surfed scarecrows 4 different times and all pretty decent.
