Just checked. No-one out, overcast with a flat light, only spent 15 minutes watching and its fairly full. Given all that its hard to get any scale but I'll go with 20-25' faces from the bombie down to outside corner, up to 30' at secrets.

The only scale was a jacung about 2-3k out looking tiny on the swell faces, but I couldn't tell if it was a jumbo size (40') or a regular (20'). Think it was the larger, if so add another 5' to my estimates.

Maybe. I don't know exactly why.

One frequent reason is close outs. But not getting in cleanly is also common.

I think bigger boards would definitely help. But everyone is going to get caught frequently by the bigger sets and pounded getting out and in, so maybe a smaller board board helps. Its a big deal though, even from the bombie when caught by a set you can be swept around the corner within minutes. Most don't come back. So getting under waves is really important.

I have a gestalt of the whole scene at a surf location at a particular time series, it encompasses a myriad of visable and non visible impressions, some subtle, others not so. So this is becomes a set of memories of uluwatu at say 5000kJs. Other subsequent memories of the whole field at various kJs are added over time to enhance various gestalts.
