67 lites v 75 litres. Does it matter? Maybe it does.
Well, as I was pointing out, if a 7'6" surfboard has the same volume as a 9' surfboard it's going to be plenty fat. Some boards, even mals, are deceptively fat or thin.
Well, as I was saying (flicks hair and crosses arms).

As the boards get larger the other design attributes (Rail type etc) take priority and volume sits low in the pecking order.

Shouldn't you be out protesting the closure of Nth Bondi as a surfing Mecca?

I know its 3,500 rising to 8,000kJ today. Just looked it up to get that in feet, its 8' rising to 10'.

8'-10' doesn't really give me a good idea of what I'm in for. But I know surviving a 15 wave set at 4000kJ will be pretty chancy for me, 8000 I don't even want to think about. If my leash breaks the odds are much worse. No-one can help, you're on your own. There's no such finessing with just 8' - 10', watching may not help, at 23s there could be an hour beween sets.

I'll be going out soon before the tide gets too high. I'll just be watching after 12pm.

Overnight and tomorrow morning is, supposedly, 15,000kJ/15'

Over 30 years of surfing and have never yet once had to think about not rely upon “kilojoules” to figure out what’s going with conditions. Pretty sure that’s the same for about 99.9999% of the global surfing community. There’s only one forecasting site using the measurement. Try find another. There isn’t. That in itself tells you all you need to know. It’s to be giggled and guffawed at mercilessly.

I don’t care less about cranked. I am talking about the topic. It’s a ludicrous equation.

Will you now use it? Do you think it will help? How on earth have you managed without it until now?

Oh wait...

I just don’t get why anyone gives a shit what Cranked uses. I think it’s really just a case of internet trolls trying pass themselves off as old guard self appointed surfing experts to massage their egos.
Surfing for over 30years? I’ve been surfing for 55 years and only ever used the little black and white map of Aust.in the newspaper for most of it, until recently. So what?
This continued obsession with Cranked and pictures of him and his wife in Bali, his choice of surfboard construction and now this, is going to get someone a TOTY.

You might be right MM, but the other side of the coin is Cranked putting it out there, copping a bit of flak and then defending himself to the death over it.

It's up to him of course, but if you put shitt up on a surfing forum and you can't cop a bit of ribbing over it, maybe it ain't such a good idea.

He seems to cope OK with it though, gives at least as good as he gets....no harm no foul?

He also posts plenty of stuff, maybe the majority, that gets nothing but hoots and shakas.

Looked good for a swim. Only the desperates would paddle out today.
Last Monday was Fcuking great though. It was so consistent for a while I let about five excellent waves go with no takers to wait for the extra perfect one. That's after just paddling back out and hitting the next set for another wave about five times in a row. Stoked. Similar for about four days last week as well.......and that's after three days of maxing long walls at Crescent the week before. Equalled my previous biggest, longest ride ever there about five times. :-D-:
