Is it the type of speech where the best result is they ask you to not come back?Nick Carroll wrote: ↑Sat May 26, 2018 10:34 amWhat the fcuk are you both talking about
In other news, this has surely been the most irritating week in recent Sydney surfing history. Vast plumes of swell forming and steaming past on their way to god damn Fiji, one after another, just so Bonython can shoot 17 more hours of cnuts getting 20-30’ barrels, while said swell plumes barely strike us a glancing blow. If I caught a six foot wave it wasn’t six foot Iggy scale.
This was no week to be on a self-imposed single fin diet.
At the same time the WSL keeps filling the inbox with news news and more fascinating news about the wave pool!! Look, here’s Shaun White getting shacked! Over here, look! “Crazy passionate” one minute team clips from the Founders Cup. Wow!! Fcuk! What’s next! Oh look wait somebody has made another pool with a shitty wave, wow! This must be the People’s Pool!
Can’t wait to give that Palm Beach SLSC speech this evening.
Where did you surf today ?

Sixty surfers sitting on racetrack this morning. Clean conditions, small waves.
Swell on the way for late arvo maybe. 3000+kJ tomorrow should be epic

There's an electricity thread?

Re: Where did you surf today ?
OK actually the week sorta vindicated itself today, swell pulsed a bit and turned east and south, barely any wind. Got a sick barrel on the singly. Slab reef, behind the section, mid face stall, wooo!
Re: Where did you surf today ?
No vindication where I am Nick. At least not yet. Perhaps tomorrow.
I paddled out and around the headland to be greeted by a line-up of just one, waves a good size but wind affected. The surfer said it was on the rise and he was going in.
I paddle round a bit, got caught inside and paddled in too.
On the long walk to the break all was not in vain though, as I had spotted a king Fisher, it was that electric, shimmering blue with a white cuff on the neck, glorious bird.
On the way back I came across another of nature's glorious sights, a gorgeous young women topless, aeruoles and nipples enlarged by the heat.
Why is this such a rare sight nowadays? Help me out here boomers, it seems to me that in the 70s at least half the women at a beach were topless and a small percentage naked. What was wrong with this glorious display of the female body for it to become so rare?

Re: Where did you surf today ?
So Slater had ditched Bali, and has turned up in Fiji. Apparently it’s gonna be bigger than when they put the CT on hold. His foot must be ok in big waves, not CT waves.
Re: Where did you surf today ?
But they did in the 70s though?
I think it's more complex than that.

Re: Where did you surf today ?
Half of Swellnet posters are losing their shit that he isn’t going to Bali.
Option 1
Bali
4-6 foot dirty water
100 metre or so wave
Get to surf once or twice a day on it
Option 2
Fiji
As big as it gets
300 metres +
8 hours or more water time
Isn’t really a choice if you have the skills and cash to choose either.

Missing the point though Channels, of course Old Baldy can do what he likes.
it's just the blatant injury bullshiting and playing the WSL/public for mugs which rankles.
Anyhow, he dodged the last CB Volcom swell when it was huge so I'll be surprised if he paddles out for this one.

Re: Where did you surf today ?
Fair call. To be honest, I don’t know why he’s still even goes to events. Nothing left to prove and probably well behind JJF, Gabs, Toledo and probs a few more.
Perhaps a deal with WSL related to the pool keeps him on tour?

Maybe he needs to prove a point because of that very incident.steve shearer wrote: ↑Sat May 26, 2018 5:49 pmAnyhow, he dodged the last CB Volcom swell when it was huge so I'll be surprised if he paddles out for this one.
