Do they give you a new one?

They have a one year warranty, take it back and you'll get a new one, and that will have a years warranty also. I liked them better when they didn't last, new wettie every winter, then they gave me one that lasted 3 years :-(

Anyone tried a Needs wetsuit?

Looking at Springsuits this morning, tried on a back zip for the 1st time in ages. Back zips suck.

A few people on here have tried them. Most seemed to like them. I personally didn’t like the fit or quality. The Quikkie springsuit I picked up online for the same price feels way better quality-wise.

Have a look at Independent Surf, a bit higher price than Needs. Was going to get a steamer, just haven't got around to it yet.

I live in Canada and owned a 5mm rip curl flashbomb that lasted me 3 years and kept me warm even in winter... Then I switched to a 5mm xcel revolt and was incredibly disappointed with it's warmth compared to the flashbomb... doesn't even come close.

Need to upgrade to a 4.3 for winter, the 3.2 is now 4 years old and is not handling the icy Victorian winter waters like it used to. Goodbye tax return

Lost some weight, Grooter?

I'm the opposite, tempted to try getting through with a 3/2. Shoulder struggles to move 3 mm. Gotta be a back zip too. Exceedingly difficult to get out of a chest zip without help

I tried the 3/2 thing in winter through Vic. Went back to get a 4/3 for the following winter. Doesn't get you through the cold days when you sit and wait for extended periods.

Yeah I know. Might mean very short surfs. I'll also have a hooded vest and booties. Trying to find a smooth skin hooded vest is proving extremely difficult. I know they're meant for under your wettie, but I reckon over is better. Any water leaking through the face doesn't then run straight down your neck. No need to explain why I desire the smooth skin

Thinking of lashing out on a top of the range Oneill zen zip. Can't seem to find cheap prices for them though. Maybe worth a run over to Torquay after the summer hordes leave in a few weeks. Never had an Oneill so need to try on for sizing

Zen zip> all other back zips.

Radiator is selling some wetsuits cheaply. $79 for the 1.5mm titanium lined steamers.

Thanks, 'boo. Didn't get my steamer, but did order a short john and thermal vest. Combo deal was $200. $80 less than buying individually. Short john will turn my winter 3/2 into a 4.5/2. I'm hoping it works out ok. Even if it doesn't, as is will be ok for a couple of months when my knee comes good

Nah mate I've fcuken given up! 88kgs all day every day. Even done a bit of cycling the last 12 months as the knees and left ankle (old footy injury) aren't happy about me running anymore. A lady friend did comment today that I had lost some weight and "bulked up", I am sure she was just being polite though.

A new 3/2 with a HotSkin would probably get me through (combined with hood, boots and gloves for those freezing July mornings), but my current 3/2 isn't done with yet so I'm thinking I can relegate that as my late-spring/summer/early-autumn suit with the 4/3 for the other half of the year.

It'll be a Rip Curl one Flashbomb one though, never had a bad one and I always get at least a few years out of them.

Yeah, the flashbombs are good. That's what I'll get if Torquay don't have oneill's. I believe they have reinstated the back zip as an option. Must have realised there's plenty of old farts like me and unco tards like shearer in the market
Hope life is good, you bulked up eating machine
