I had a great surf yesterday afternoon, mainly by myself in good waves (sometimes bumpy). So good and unusually uncrowded (despite there being 40 odd surfers at the peak and racetrack) that I stayed out for four hours, caught about 20 waves that peeled off for 200m or more, and ended up completely satisfied and totally exhausted.

I think I better stop these reports MM
Okay....five solid reef rides an hour times four....sounds damn good and thoroughly believable. I'd be stuffed...in a good way :-D-:

You boys have never heard of Masonboro Island, gotta paddle across an inlet to get there, but man it's been pretty sweet since I got back home.

Longie. Head high, peaky, good banks, light winds, lots of waves to go around.

Bonzer was flying on some nice, long walls.

Yeah there were some fun peaks and bowls about. Nothing powerful but plenty waves coming through.

Was that an ex-Loofy bonzer ?

The swell is building nicely now.

I was on the cliff at first light, all ready for a quiet few hours, but the swell hadn't really hit.

8am and the sets are now overhead, only about 30 on the entire Ulus breaks. Give it another hour or two I reckon

Mid-Narra at dawn. Chest high and stacks of waves. A few shutdowns but the odd gem. Had it to myself for over an hour.

Pretty nice at south end back beach this morning. After some morning sickness it came good right on the low tide, around 8, turned on for an hour or so, then switched off again. Stayed out and it switched on briefly again not long after the northerly messed it up around 10.30am.

Fun as hell. 2-3 foot dunny bowl. Stacks of waves coming through. Great shaped peak and plenty of wall to carve up. Surfed the 6’0 single egg.

Back at Longie for the early. Nowhere near as good as yesterday, tide a bit too low plus a bit of morning sickness from the overnight winds.

went down to Longy to help out with the five ways comp. Things were well under control so should have taken my board. Made do with a quick body surf

Teaching my kids to surf at the moment, and yesterday my 7yo paddled for, caught and rode a wave all the way to the sand.
My 8yo also got up for a few seconds.

Stoke levels are off the charts in out household.

Saturday. missed the early as I had had a shocking night's sleep, and then had to drive past several pumping beachies to man the Wollongong Bunnings BBQ for the Pre School from 8-10am. I tried not to think of the waves pouring in, but suffice to say my heart wasn't in the job at hand. Luckily for me, the family had to attend a party in Sydney so at 10.15am I was at Easties having the fcuking time of my life!

3-4 foot beachies along the whole stretch, just wave after wave coming in.

Outstanding!

This week looking interesting for the point..

I originally posted details about the local conditions, about getting a few good waves then realised I was saying too much and that no one cared anyway, so deleted it.
