You obviously haven't followed The Cements attempted put down of the exhibition last year, skip.
Water has been warmer this week....but definitely cooler today with the stiff offshore. I've been in a springy.

How pleasant.
Yes, I have noticed smnmts' observations of SBTS, and to be frank, he's been quite reserved with that opinion.
It's like, some of us think it's offshore, when in fact it's nor'east. Such is life. Lol.

Winds were onshore here yesterday in the early morning so I went and checked Nusa Dua. Light onshore there too, big solid sets coming through, just four out. It looked like really hard work. If it was Sydney everyone would have been frothing.

Went back and didn't catch waves in much more pleasant conditions.

Tried locally again at 1pm. Big solid lines coming through, light onshore with one person out. Paddled out on a new unridden McCoy 6'8.

I was a bit tentative on a new board and pulled back on the first few but then just went, straight into a big drop, hard off the bottom and the biggest and best roundhouse cutback I've done in a long time - it's going to be an all-time board for me.

Caught wave after wave, none more than 50m and with chop that made it interesting. The crowd hit 4 at one stage, came in after 2 hours.

Today should be a repeat of yesterday.

Yeah it's pretty early for the southerlys, they'll probably come and go for a while. The best thing is that the surf reports get it wrong about half the time now

Squeezed in a few at Manly before the high tide and wind. Worth the effort.

Geez, but I'm having to put a little effort into getting good waves with the onshores and small swell, but it means no crowds.

Just a two hour window yesterday at my favourite bukit wave (not the one I usually surf). Four people out, waist to head high, got about 10 good waves, 100 to 300m of endless turns.

I had a great surf yesterday afternoon, mainly by myself in good waves (sometimes bumpy). So good and unusually uncrowded (despite there being 40 odd surfers at the peak and racetrack) that I stayed out for four hours, caught about 20 waves that peeled off for 200m or more, and ended up completely satisfied and totally exhausted.

I think I better stop these reports MM

Don't worry MM, Cranky's just making this shit up. He's actually in Perth and its almost flat with a light onshore destroying what little swell there is.

Haha I know BD, what Cranked is saying isn’t possible in Bali, although the Perth bit sounds about right.
I do enjoy his works of fiction immensely tho

Perhaps I should throw in a bit more colourful local detail to help make it more believable.
