When you sell her to SeaWorld will you freight her or swim her down behind a boat ?offshore1 wrote: ↑Wed Sep 20, 2017 12:19 pmNo but I'm afraid if Flipper were here right now, that slimy cetacean would cuckold my landlubbin arse.
Mrs. Offshore's porpoise impressions are a little too heartfelt now that I think about it.

Arguably the sharkiest spot in Australia by Dorsal posts.
Went out for a paddle yesterday and was pretty much thinking....I'm way too jet lagged to handle this. Particularly after three weeks of gluttony and boozing across Europe. Managed to eventually snare one good one and a couple of average ones from the pack. Don't any of these people have a job to go to?

Yesterday just south on NC's competition - some fun and no beginners, kooks but as always Brazilians.

Lucky I had a surf yesterday. Silly season seems to have started at Bondi. The high temps brings the early season Westies.
Re: Where did you surf today ?
Interesting you mention that. I was out there again this morning (lumpy and wind-affected). A couple of locals pointed out a chopper off to the north buzzing around. 'That's the shark-spotter'. There was a heap of birds and dolphins having a feast on bait fish out the back, and with the chopper hanging around I decided to head in, wondering how they communicate if they spot a shark. As I was walking through the dunes the chopper came right down and they announced on a speaker that there was shark in the river (I'd be surprised if there wasn't).
Even better I was there with my son this afternoon pushing him onto a few waves on my longboard. Probably should have gone elsewhere

^^ Yeah thanks. It's actually coming up to a year ago things started going badly downhill, and didn't let up for about 4 months. I'm determined not to let it happen again

I always figured they feed on similar fish so if there's dolphins there'd be sharks too. Do they bugger off when the dolphins are around? (I feel I should know more about this but to be honest I never really thought much about sharks until the regular attacks started a few years ago).
