Re: Where did you surf today ?
Look god save I know you can't be there. You're in Wales. I understand that. We can't do anything about that. Yet. But the vast majority of Realsurfers are, let's face it, in some need of contact with tasty treats and surf heroes and fantastic surfboards, and popping off (whatever the fcuk that is) or possibly the rolling around activity mentioned above. AJ in very particular. There is value in this occasion, perhaps more value than might be discerned from the accompanying blurb. It's the sort of shit that Realsurf could actually have put together once. But if it now falls to SW so be it.
Re: Where did you surf today ?
It's weird that they have co-opted the Joy Division album cover as a logo, given that the doomed Joy Division would be the antithesis of the wholesome, outdoorsy, communal camping, The Inertia, wellness vibe of this event.

Re: Where did you surf today ?
Imagine the show bags realsurfers would put together for such an event!
Re: Where did you surf today ?
Yeah, nah, the boards and surfing'd be good, but I'm not so interested in meditating and doing yoga as one offs, and I make it a policy never to meet my heroes lest they disappoint. Well, not really a policy, I'm a bit like many political parties in that respect. I just have knee-jerk reactions.
Anyway, The Farm will be (more) crowded that weekend, so best steer clear, unless we can assemble a Real Surf posse and own the joint.

Well thank fuck it's changed sufficiently that the prospect of this sort of Big Tent wankerism is little more than a speck of flyshit in the rear view mirror. Why people see such a need to belong and to perform these cliched surfer dude rituals is absolutely beyond me. Even as an impressionable young fellow I'd have been running for the hills at the merest whiffNick Carroll wrote: It's the sort of shit that Realsurf could actually have put together once

I like it when gstq gets angry.
Re: Where did you surf today ?
@Steve, you've inspired me. I'm gonna fcuk any work off this weekend and go surfing. In fact, I'm gonna take a trip down memory lane and hit the northern beaches.

[looks right, looks left] surrounded by middle aged blokes who used to surf talking about home renos, mostly. You?
Re: Where did you surf today ?
AJ, careful on the northern beaches, you may just meet one of your heroes.
Tony Abbot will be waxing up I'm sure.
Just to go on RS record, I've been trying for months to get AJ back into the surf saddle. He's a stubborn bastard
Re: Where did you surf today ?
True dat, that's why I'm going north, so you'll stop trying to crack onto me. I'm married, dude!
Re: Where did you surf today ?
Well, I'll wait until it all goes south
