Must've dropped heaps throughout the day. Was still 6 foot sets this am.
I think I paddled out as it dried up.

Suiting up, there were still overhead bombs dropping everywhere. I got rinsed on my paddle out, and it kinda pulsed for for the first half hour. Then in the last hour, i caught like 4 waves.

had to wait over 20 minutes for a wave in.

I've never seen a swell die so quick, i don't think.

Half of my quiver still has three fins. I just paddle out on whatever board will best suit the conditions. i tend to keep thrusters for beachies when it's four foot plus. Smaller conditions I prefer a twin. Points and quality (not lumpy) reefs I prefer a single fin.

Let's see. That twinny of mine was like a rocket on those waves this arvo. The 12 mil deep single concave gets things cooking down the line.

Looks like the wind caught a few just as they were close to taking off. And the one guy doing tow ins when everyone else was paddling (including a body boarder)!

I've been meaning to ask if the concave that deep makes it track?

Not at all. Being a twinny it's constantly driving and pumping off either side fin - and never feels like it wants to just stick in a straight line.

It just goes really fkn quick off the mark, and builds up a shit tonne of speed.

Initially I had the same question (doubt) also, and the reply I got was "it won't track as a twin with a deep single, it's just going to go really fast". And was has right. But he understood that i thought the deep single (without a vee exit to soften it) would've raised the question.

I asked for a board for tearing up beachbreaks up to 4 foot, and so far it's been great for that.
