No, not at all.

Swell has picked up here. Regular double overhead sets at 6:30am and outside corner starting to work. One guy at the bombie, four at the corner. No one else out.

A macking set went through impossible and peeled off down to bingin, then peace and calm descended. Just a few out, no one near catching anything.

If the swell predictions are correct sets double that size should be coming through. I'm going to watch for an hour at least before I consider going out. Afternoon might be best for me with a falling tide and supposedly, swell.

The waiting period for a comp for the locals at Padang commenced a few days ago, it might run, but there was no activity early.

Sun and stiff offshores forecast, but it's glassy and a bit wobbly atm

It's possible, we ate some cookies from the honour box not knowing they were full of dope and were off our faces for 2 days

I've never been so this might be woefully ignorant but I can't help thinking that Thailand is just Indonesia with no surf.

And it's only good for backpackers, middle aged sad sacks, pseudo-hippies spending all day rope walking or practising fire twirling before spaz dancing all night to really bad trance "music" and german/english sex tourists who'd settle for a ladyboy even if they couldn't admit it to themselves.

Is that too harsh?
So kind of like Byron but with ladyboys. I spose they have Thai hookers in Byron these days.

I paddled out on the mal today. A rare day in Sydney for me. Had some pretty mediocre surfs lately but I've just enjoyed being in the ocean. Waters really nice at the moment...nice and warm.

Fun session national park. Chest to shoulder high right ripbowl bank. Not too powerful, crumbly but still steep with some push to it. The pick waves were running all the way through to the sand, step off on to the beach. Surfed the twinny. It's been over a month since I've ridden it. Loose flowing and fast and ideal for the conditions.

National park catches plenty of south swell . And being a low period swell it was all coming in.

Had my first surf in about 6 weeks at longy yesterday. Just perfect, fun little waves on the mal. Actually surfed a little better than I normally do somehow. A great reminder why I bother doing this after a very long time of struggling with motivation.

I was in the water and paddling out in the dark this morning.

Glassy conditions, head to occasional double, but a wait in between, board just hissing through the water.

The whole volcanic spine of mountains was visible for a while with the sun rising behind them, magic.

No one else came out at all for over an hour. Then just a couple.
