900 clear. 1250 colours
Re: Midlengths
There's a shot on his Insta of that Crossbreed in macking Indo surf.
Re: Midlengths
I really don't like the idea of having to have my feet planted in the same spot. I'd get bored. I like having to crosstep/shuffle around my 7'7 single.
I'll still keep an eye out for a good deal. But I'll be more inclined to spend my dollars on a 6'6ish egg for my trip to PNG in December.

Re: Midlengths
Get a Bonzer egg then for those waves
Re: Midlengths
Now that I've converted the waterskate, I doubt I'll bother with another bonzer.
I was toying with the idea of taking the 7'7 and two shorties with me, or taking the 6'8 waterskate and 3 shorties.
Just found a great post in the travel section about Nusa island. Really helped out with my quiver decision for that trip.
Looks like the 7'7 will stay at home and I'll take more shorties.

Re: Midlengths
I like the look of the crossbreed as well..... and his bonzers look sweet as. That's a two board quiver covering all bases

Re: Midlengths
I remember stumbling across Jye's website shortly after I picked up my 6'0 from Patto just after my daughter was born.
They look like top quality pieces of equipment.
I'm pretty sure the blue 6'6 crossbreed that Jye rides in the video would fit nicely in my quiver as my everyday board.

Re: Midlengths
I hear what you're saying re moving around on a board. I like boards like that as well. One reason I like fish and mids, can move forward and trim then step back and turn.JET01 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 13, 2017 7:09 pmI really don't like the idea of having to have my feet planted in the same spot. Re: Midlengths
Suppose you might call this a mid length, just picked it up. 7'4"x 21"x 3", got for surfing medium size local reefs and larger beachies that are hard to paddle into, getting old and don't have the power in the arms these days

Nice shape, you'll feel pretty confident on that beast that's for sure.

Re: Midlengths
Quite similar to my fat bullet. It's 7'2". I'd like a bit more tail rocker in mine though.

Re: Midlengths
I've noticed on my google stalking that a few have mentioned surfing a Cundith Islander - any thoughts?
At the moment am trying to decide between
Islander - 6'10 x 22 3/4 x 3 1/4
Miller V skate 6'7 x 21 ½ X 2 ¾
or just get a new Miller waterskate (6'8 or 6'10) (since they hardly ever seem to come up 2nd hand, and happy to throw work to grant).
east coast beachies, normal days nothing too big, I'm 6'3/ 80kg or thereabouts but a bit slow to my feet due to stuff and irregular surfer (meaning sometimes it can be 6 weeks between surfs, then I surf 5 days in a row kind of irregular).
anyway, realise that these type of questions are very 'maybe' and 'it depends', but any thoughts appreciated
