One of his own fish shapes. It didn't look to crazy small.

Can he still ride anything over 6'?

Latter half of this vid shows some very nice mid length back hand surfing in solid waves.

Good clip Davros. The boards didn't look any longer than the guys riding them tho?

Can't view that clip unfortunately, but in other news the Takayama is doing great in Indo. I've been riding the McCoy mostly and it's handling double overhead with aplomb, and getting into hyperdrive racing those endless walls.

Got a 300m double overhead the other day, missed the last 200m, but my mate saw I wasn't going to make it and finished it off for me. I actually caught it early before the peak when it was head and a half, but it really stood up after that. I don't get many waves like that, but I think there's going to be quite a few more of them with these two boards.

The Takayama is going to be good for anything. Super skinny little rails in the back half, lots of rocker and rolled V, speed and size is never going to phase it.

It's so funny reading those old reviews from people who never took it where it was meant to go, although it is good in crap as well.

There were a few EPS takayama's on sale at a big north shore surf shop in Hawaii when i was there for Xmas in 2014. A glass slipper and a flo egg from memory. An orange 6'6 and a green 6'8. $600 when the dollar was parity... spewing i didn't bring one home.

Flo Eggs are meant to be sub standard boards compared to his others

Scorpion, Devon Howard signature any thing else. They get terrible reviews and I remember when the Shop Next Door had them the feedback was poor. Better than McCoys though. Just kidding. Please don't start a McCoy thingy. Just a joke.

Scorpion gets reviewd as a very high end performer, everyone ive spoken to who owns one,LOVES it...

Ive never seen a DH model, apart from him riding one in the odd movie.

The FLOW EGG is a mini SPEED SHAPE(DT2).....I own the same model as Crankey, it FLYS....I regret selling my SS 9/1 and will buy another if one pops up.

I will draw a comparison with mCoy(whether you like it or not) ha ha.....FE and Nuggets both have convex bottoms, they turn easily but not as speedy as concaves or flats.

AS a board to cruise around on when the grunts not available these "terribly reviewed" boards are appropriate.Flat forward rocker help to glide in,the run in the planshape helps draw long lines.A great design for tiny(knee/waist) lined up point breaks.

I did take mine out in 1.5-2x overhead once and it handled it but theres plenty of other designs that handle it better(McCoy being just 1)...

Plenty of reviewers don't give a design time.
