That's it, I'm getting one. Will it work with a Pyzel though?

That one of phils boards shep? hes been posting pics of some insane 10 channel bottoms lately on instysteve shearer wrote:Totally, and words can't describe how good bonzers feel out there when you get them up to full speed and there is hundred of yards of wall in front of you. But I've been riding this little stubby six channel 4 fin. A board I thought was going to be a little spaceship when i bought it and then turned out to be very disappointing the first few surfs. Soon as I got it out to the Point though, it wanted to put high speed figure 8's everywhere and feels so free and fast it's been a revelation.
5'10", pretty wide but with foiled rails. It's been amazing how hard I can push on that wide tail at speed.

Surfed up at Wanda this morning... Check the report before I left which said it was 2ft but with nice shape. My midlength is in getting repaired at the moment so I packed the 5'9 twin keel fish... good choice in the end...
got there at 10:30am... waves about shoulder high... happy that the undercalled it a little.
30 mins into the session a little pulse came through...
double overhead rouge bombs coming through... shit banks = big closeouts....
I got some tube time this morning (none made), and made friends with the sand bank a few times.
Ryan Bevan.... thanks for the fish you shaped and didn't ride.... At $150 new, it's stands as the biggest bargain I've found on the gumtree. Super hold with the FT1 Keels.
Sick day.
Oh and we had a baby last Thursday so I'm fkn stoked anyway.
Life's good.

found out this morning that maroubra recently lost one its great local characters. Sunshine, the kneeboarder that used to shred the north point down to a fine art. Rest in piece mate

Yep, congrats, Jet. Buy yourself a mal.
6 out 7 days surfing. Yesterday was the only day I didn't surf at least once a day.

Now you are really busy!! You'll def need a new middy
Re: Where did you surf today ?
I need a mal as I left my epoxy cheapo 9'0 on the roof on a hot day and the whole bottom delam'd. To be honest I'm too embarrassed to take it to Patto to get it fixed.Beanpole wrote:Yep, congrats, Jet. Buy yourself a mal.

When my first daughter was born i celebrated with a sweet 7'7 single fin from PCC. The thing paddles so well that I found myself hardly ever surfing my mal so it's unlikely I'll ever get another one.
I'll keep an eye out for a bargain on eBay/gumtree but it's hard to justify the cash at the moment.
Traded in my old 6'0 and have a new 6'0 shorty coming with less foam and a touch more rocker.
I didn't think about the timing with the daughter... I like to buy new boards at special occasions...should've gone big and got a custom from Patto similar to a Jye Byrnes crossbreed model.

My son picked up a pretty good, pretty used old mal for $150. The fin would nearly be worth that. It's an American One.

It's my legacy
Re: Where did you surf today ?
You mean the board, right?
Re: Where did you surf today ?
The mrs gave me a 6'1 single fin when we got married. Now we've had two kids I'm thinking about getting a couple of side bites put in it.... a very symbolic gesture.
