is this event as great on the broadcast as it is here, live, in the actual air?

Is a sense of a great sporting event coming through? Or does it look like every other broadcast?

Hard to tell when you're fighting sleep at two AM.

But yeah, good surfing.

After Margies, it gets harder for the event to shine.

I'm only looking at waves over 8.5 on replays, and I'm not sure I'm watching the same event the judges are.
The scale seems off by 20%, but mainly because they are filming from a terrible angle.
