Yesterday was good, bout six foot sets and real clean in the morning then dropped off to nothing. Then this morning it's eight foot and lumpy but offshore, now there is a lot of water moving, probably ten foot plus on the bombies, might be a few good waves on the surf coast.

Dunno what beigepole was lookung at but I had a couple of fun sessions out at Bondi today on the mal. There was one of the best bank set ups just in front of the skatepark. Sure it was small but nice and clean consistent runners and not too crowded.
If I had pedometer on, I reckon I'd have clocked up 10,000 steps walking the plank.

Today was scraping the bottom of the barrel in the rain and onshore winds.

Main beach.
1-2 foot and super dredgy. I got undressed by one wave, boardies blasted off and rashie over the head.

It's funny. Brainwave, Shearer and Saltman lament the tragedy of a Northerly. Understandable if you're south of Broadbeach.
I was away in Hervey Bay for a Nippers carnival today but last Sunday in a howling NE'ster I got 3 foot (head high and a bit) low tide peaks at the Spit at 3.00 in the afternoon on the the tail end of that last swell.
We folk from the North will head South when it's worthwhile but the Mexicans just complain about the Northerly.
Are you hearing me Donweather?

praise the lord - i actually had a decent surf. Peaky, waist to chest high, low tide, glassy and not too crowded. Plenty of good rides today. It felt like autumn,

Well I've just had the worst surf I've ever had at Manly. Thought I'd drive over for something to do. Didn't bother looking. Just went out. Totes crappy.....also putrid water and a bit cool. DeeWhy and Curly looked similar. Closing out and sucking on the shallow banks.

Wait a minute ... you had a chance to surf somewhere other than Bondi and you chose to go to Manly?

Wait.....it's a southerly....Easterly Swell. Often duck over in those conditions. Can do it in half an hour on a good run.

Just finished at Freshie on the strength of this recommendation. For Freshie, it was actually pretty fun.

Went for a swim this arvo.....everywhere looked better than Manly earlier.....still crap but better. You always have to allow for the overview when looking at Tama. Waves always look better from a height.
