DY...........about 1/10 with the NE wind. Highlight was being given a Nova radio goodies bag in the car park (so shows how crap it was). Probably worst attempt at surf in a year.

didn't get out today, though paddled out yesterday arvo in that appalling knee to not even waist high wind blown junk. used it as an opportunity to take the twinny out and "try new stuff" because i couldn't have given a fk about wasting waves as a result of falling off and blowing turns. tried one of those drop-the-wallet layback snap type moves, where your backfoot is jammed hard against the very back of the tail and your top half acts as the fulcrum with your arms counterbalancing. tried two of them, almost made one. felt fairly radical but probably looked ludicrous. the surf conditions were probably like a typical day in perth.

Colder air coming over Hokkaido this afternoon

This morning we went with Peely down some gully or other off the Annapuri runs. For those of you who don't know Shane Peel, he is a bit of a pirate, he's pretty much done everything you can imagine and now lives in Niseko with his girl and baby daughter, shooting snow vids and running various business propositions. Shearer knows him. Anyway trust him to find a gully. It was super cool! Banking off the sides of the gully for about nearly a K, around trees and bumps and stuff. Then we found another one and I had an awesome cartwheel crash right at the top, filled my goggles with snow and had to ski the whole run without. It's way better except for the snowflakes hitting you in the god damn face all the way.

It's absolute dribble. Don't bother. Go back to bed. Except if your name's Beanpole, then it's pumping out there.

1 to barely 2 foot of very slow painfully weak leftover north east windswell dribble. Completely uninspiring

Yes, I had two uninspiring surfs yesterday...and it was probably better than today.

There was not much on offer after the rain yesterday. The last two evenings weren't good sessions.
