When a legropeless board comes nearby as I'm heading out I corral it, put a nice long surreptitious slice through the glass on the bottom, grin and say "Radical ride mate!" to the inconsiderate manbunned wanksock as he comes in to collect his freeride.
Just try to remember it's there if you need to scratch your arse. :-o

I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.

Kirra used to eat boards before legropes. Also the rip used to send them out to Straddie. Also a few nefarious locals used to loiter in the shore break and have the boards up to the local surf shop and sold by the time the owner made it down the point.

True dat.
I started surfing at Kirra (on borrowed boards :-o ) in 1962. Got my own in December 1963.
Lost my board off the point plenty of times but somehow it always ended up in the gaps between the rocks. Think I only once had to do some shatter repairs.
Crazy lucky.
These days if my leggie breaks it's guaranteed to end up on the rocks.

Have to say though Beanpole, I don't remember the rip doing that. At least, before there were any rock walls/ groynes.

Might have been an urban myth to go with the disappearing boards....although I think when that left formed at the north end of the beach the rip went right out. I remember watching the Queensland Titles when it was held on that left. MP was on his MOTE board with a 13" fin. Just going straight up...whacking the lip and then doing it again. Everyone else was on 7' pintails trying to make the drop. It was fairly big.

How's about Fanning and Rip Curl blowing up a spot that until now has been under the radar. Selfish whoring cnuts.

Ah its been surfed lots. Jordy and oneil filmed it years ago

Its 3 days solid travel and the last 24 hours is in a 4WD... the swell is fickle and you can arrive there and there's swell and good winds... but the bank isnt there.

Its no skeleton bay.

And the other surfers there must have been really annoyed, except there weren't any.

It's not about me Davros. That seems to be the thing with selfish cnuts - if you object to what they do they seem to think its your own interests you are trying to promote. Can't think outside their own little world or way of thinking.

Two cameras at Bondi....so you can check the Nth end......where you can't surf. Often has the best banks.
