I don't think so. St Lucy's is an inclusive school with a strong support base. Spend a day with a severely autistic child and you'll see, spending a life with two full time with no way of changing the future would be a bleak outlook indeed. Remember these kids where severally disabled especially the boy.

Who knows what's happened, maybe the Mum lost her mind. "I can't go on but I can't leave my husband by himself"

Mate I think they just got dealt terrible cards. Tragic.

This might sound a bit screwed up but neither of the kids knew they were gonna die and didnt die in a horrible way or anything... Maybe they are all a lot happier now.

For real. I work for a veterinary company.

I deleted the post. Just a bit of frustration.

So there you go. Looks like the old man was going to get ditched so decided to gas the family instead. A case of domestic murder.

In all honesty in a situation like Diggers or anyone living with a very autistic child or children I reckon I would cope awfully. The ongoing effort it would take and the stress it would put on you. I reckon me and my wife would fall to pieces.

I take my hat off to you Digger for doing what do and having the balls to take to the bus to be there for your kids. I think you are a pretty strong bloke.

Difficult to compare. Some autistic children don't even acknowledge their parents. And then there is aspergers vs. autism, different again.

I have an anxious child, not drugged but would no problem if required. We went through the Cool Kids program at Macquarie Uni, don't be fooled by the light touch name of the program as its a government funded study where the kids take tablets that are either placebo or an anti anxiety drug. I was shocked that my daughter was on the placebo meaning the program and the strategies worked. It's also free. So many parents are in denial about their kids, its difficult to admit your child may have issues but better to have a child with some problems than an adult.

Having kids isn't easy, you worry about them from the day they enter the world, the challenge is to build a solid relationship with them. You do that without inhibiting growth then most of your job is done.

My back gave out five weeks ago. I have had all relative scans done and the results suck. The disks bones around the l3 to l5 have deteriorated considerably. There is a slight bulge inl5. Arthritis has set in plus the l5 has naturally fused. The gaps in the 3,4 @5 have compressed over time with wear and tear. I also have a large cyst growing on the profusion that is permately pushing against the siatic nerve. I'm now on targin and endep to try to deal with the immense pain which is constant. The doc is hoping to fool the siatic into settling down. If this can't happen surgery is only hope. 18 month waiting list. I can't live with the pain but what choice do I have. My kids need me.

My surfing could be over at the young age of 50. I'm now thinking surFmatt.

I'm a bit of a mess mentally with all the shit going on. We might look to permately move to Gympie as it's affordable. We are applying for housing commission. Each day is a new struggle.

Enjoy each surf, never take it for granted. Surf each wave like it could be your last. You never know when it may be snatched away from you.

Hey Digger, hang in there mate. I'm fucked back wise as well and thinking about the op. I'm on the Oxy (Endone) just now. Mate of mine had the metal and screws job and it changed his life and he still plays sport.

Maybe just settle down for a while and try to get things right. In this world of feminism the kids will still look to the old man to set the tone. Keep on truckin'
