Let us know how it goes.
He had 15 people call after I picked it up.
Had to get some fins for it, so all up $280. Best bargain I've found for ages.
Hoping the waves pick up this week.
Was saving for a new fish. Might save for a new log now.
12 boards in the quiver. One for each calendar month. Sounds about right doesn't it?

Had a couple of sessions over the last few days.Davros wrote:12 - wow
Keen to see if the board is a keeper
Had a few waist high rights at the northern end of Maroubra which has been the best session on it so far. Board paddles really well which isn't surprising due to the flat rocker. Nice and stable (21" wide). No issues with digging the nose which is surprising as there's almost no nose lift.
Its nice and fast down the line which came in handy and feels really smooth and positive on bottom turns.
I think it may be due to the completely flat bottom, but when the waves slows down. Normally I can give my board a few up and down monkey pumps to help squirt a bit of water through the concave bottom. Not so on this board.
I feel like I'm on a keeper here.

Re: Fish
Yeah I did. Wasn't getting much use after my knee injuries and I find them better in good shape, not big just good quality. If I surf heaps it's not a prob, I can gravel on them but when I'm only getting out now and then i didn't like it as much. Still don't surf as much as I used to so the same would probably happen lol. If I get back in the water more often I'd be keen again. Damn fun
Re: Fish
I knew this would happen.
I was saving for a PCC custom. In the mean time I found my $150 bargain. Now what do you think turns up on the gumtree a week later. 5'7 PCC fish with a nice fabric inlay. Can't do it. How can a man go from having no fish, to four fish in a month. Better keep it at three. Would be silly otherwise.

Easy.
How else do you find out what works best for you if you are stepping into the realm of eclectic board design?
Only a rat can win the rat race.
Re: Fish
Speaking of, Cuttle (and others) I am looking for a bigger/better wave board and had a chat to Dick Van he reckons a slim Wasp about 7ft would be the biz. Any thoughts on that as you have a Wasp and ride the larger longer McNeil?. Never really occurred to me these fishy boards can be shaped as larger boards for larger waves.
