I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.

A few odd sets today, mainly just drifting around talking. A week of solid swell, all-day offshores and endless sunshine coming up. And good tides.

Shoulder to head high, walled up but backwashy directional south swell at Royal national park . A bit fat. Still fun though. Took the 6'0 single out

Hhhhmmmm, that's interesting. Took the minimal down to the beach but it was tiny and way overcrowded. I just had a swim over the reef at Bronte in the sun. Such great weather. Criminal to be at work this week.

Had a fun surf at Wanda this arvo for old times' sake. Full and fat but calm conditions and just awesome to be out on a day like this.

Oh ... we must have just missed each other. I was waiting forever to get the first wave and got four in quick succession after the first. Thought it was pretty straight and closing out even at high tide.

Pretty straight and closey-outy for most of the the stretch of beach where I was at too, though the righthand bank I was surfing was running along the edge of a deepish channel towards the headland. Held the face up just enough to stop it shutting down. A bit of a trampoline wobble to it though. These smallish refracted south swells are pretty fkn gåy

The 7' Byrne is waxed and ready.

Had it out again a few days ago, its not at all twitchy at speed - hot knife through butter, etc. Last time I surfed decent size waves was on a 7'6 x 21.5" 63l McCoy. Its gonna be a bit different on a 7' x 20.5" 45l board. Next trip I'll definitely have my 7'6 x 21.5" 53l Modern Black Hawk with me.

Long period south swells need to be at least three-four foot down here to much use at most locations.
