What do you reckon the build cost (not the land component as this would vary significantly based on where you locate it) would be of a KSWM? As a fairly basic piece of machinery that could undoubtedly be pre-fabricated very cheaply in one of a hundred Chinese workshops and containerised off to anywhere in the world for assembly, the only in situ works are the pond bottom shape, hydraulics and power. I'm thinking Dr. Slaters  Frankenwave machine could actually be less than a million? Any mechanical engineers out there with a more accurate guesstimate?

Notice Nicks a convert too.
And remember that little Tom won the only man-made wave event ever held on the tour back in the 1980s in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Add 30 years of enhancements and we have a goer.

I'd be interested to see Mike Stewart body surf it. He could ride the foam ball the whole way I reckon.

Nature of the bathymetry they've created by the looks. Very tapered lip line.

If the board doesn't disappear, it's not a tube.

5 pro surfers and a mechanical wave, no events for a month and they come up with 4 minutes of footage, probably only 2:30 of it unique as it is cross edited?

Methinks they have turbulence issues and after the first wave you have to go have a coffee before it runs again.
Or mechanical.

Does appear to be a lot of control in the editing. More than just artistic direction.

Noticed that too.
Wave frequency will be the key if the thing is to ever work, commercially at least.

Josh Kerr on a twinnie. I don't think the pros are faking how much fun they are having.
