This would have to be one of the most consistent Februaries for a long long time.

I remember when I was about 13, Kirra broke for like 60 days straight. A lot that was 8-ft plus.

Lets here some summer ratings from different regions.
Please no IKEA talk in here. Thanks.

I'm giving it eight and a half Swedish meatballs with chips, gravy and a dollop of that jam stuff.

And while you're kicking that swellnet bloke in the nuts could you tell him that taking wind readings from Ballina airport is pretty well useless unless it's blowing 30 knots from wherever.

Or you could recognise that wind is the one element left where savvy people can get the jump on cube monkeys and stfu.

Was a decent summer for me, 6/10 chipboard bookshelves.
Transitioned to being a weekend warrior late last year so I force myself to go out regardless of the forecast. Without hindcasting I'd guess that Thursdays were the pick so i missed my former flexible schedule. Certainly savouring my water time more these days and had some surprisingly good sessions.got a bit more creative with spot selection to avoid going postal on the points.
Unfortunately winds have meant a lot of point days.

Some beefed up boards I got for the transition have softened the blow but I'm about to start swimming laps again because my paddle power is woeful and I'm now one of the kooks I used to paddle past up the point.

I barely surfed this summer at all. injury on top of injuries. Jagged one nice big barrel at Kirra in the last swell. the beachies have been shit and look incomprehensibly worse after Marcia ...

so on a personal level, it hasn't been as bad as having to construct 357 piece flatpack entertainment unit ... but it hasn't been much better.

boo sounds like he's ready for a blue rinse, bingo and two tickets in the meat tray.

I've travelled through 4 states this summer, had a few O.K. surfs in S.A. on the way through, but I didn't miss much back in Newcastle, a real dud summer by all reports.
Been checking online surf reports which confirmed what mates back there have told me.
Presently (like Boo) doing laps in the pool most mornings, and I hate swimming.

nick carroll once said pull ups/ chin ups are the best surfing/ paddle exercise one could do. he also recommended you buy one of those bars which wedge in your doorway and just go for broke every. single. chance. you. get.
