I noticed a lot of people on here drooling over pizza’s a while back
…some people on here like Reginald would be prepared to drive to Penrith to get a pizza while NC on the other hand was having fantasy bats over Tahiti pizza’s.

As you get older do you place food in higher esteem than surfing ???

I remember when I was a frothing grom I couldn’t give a rats about what I ate…I could eat a dead seagull wrapped in stale bread as long as it gave me enuff energy for a surf.

Lucky for me ..my mental age has kept me young ...but for some of you I fear you are all getting fat and grey.

I'm greying at the temples. I quite like it.

Thankfully I'm exercising a lot at the moment so I can eat pretty much anything I want and keep fairly lean.

I have found that people who applied peroxide and/or lemon juice to their hair in a vain attempt to be a blond surfie have ended up with grey hair. Also speed freaks. Also just random old guys except for the ones that go bald.

I have a theory

You surf….this releases endorphins….. and as you get older your body along with all its aches and pains and children responsibilities slows down to the point that your endorphin tank cannot be replenished by surfing….so it seeks another sensory form to fulfill the role that surfing once had.


…you then get fat…which depresses you along with the fact that you are surfing less.

….but you eat more because you are getting depressed.

….so you just end up fat, grey ,angry and pathetic….destined for the scrap heap of ‘no hope’.

We thought you were just being all existential and reflective. Obviously it is people's fault if they turn grey or go bald or get hair growing out of their ears or just get old. I mean its not like it happens to most people or anything. There are only a few of us who can get younger, fitter and prettier as we age. Hey, kkk?
Even some gun surfers do older people things like have heart attacks and stuff. Whats the world coming to?
I blame the carbon tax myself.

Fat, not compared to 95% of the population, and 99% of my age group.

Food obsessive, certainly not. I like a few foods, but had never met a 'foodie' until I met my wife.

I find food obsessives as compulsive as any other drug addict, but oh so much more boring.

So my wife doesn't obsess about food too much in front of me.

Blokes get a fat midriff and kid themselves they are still fit while women cut there hair off.

.....while they are young and attractive women snare the opposite sex by keeping their hair long and as soon as they know that they have entrapped the man for good they cut it off and grow it like Tom Cruise (like in a bob-darth-vaderish-Julia G style).
