Myself and Chooky Rooke and Ken McCendoe used to jump in Ken's tinny down at La Perouse boat shed that Kens dad owned, and head across to where they were sand pumping, the left hand break used to run along this bank for ages! it was situated pretty much inline with the old Power Station at the far northern end of the dredging.
I was pretty young but my mate Chooky was always getting towed into these little left handers that were so perfectly shaped, it could have quite easily been amongst the first tow-ins ever! well behind a tinnie at least!

Hint ; Start with Kayee mai Gal clan( Manly) at Bombora ( place where waves Thunder) maybe quote a credible witness, say an Officer of His Majesty"s Navy or two. (Easily found just look)

Also consider Marou-Bora and Wamberal ( Wam-Bora) by Tarra Gal clan. Dont be shy now ...you can apply your Menzies era view of the world to some real surfresearch.
