Ripping?? :D :D - would've been good to have some decent waves for that "Sess". Might have to wait when it comes around again.

Whilst I was out there, I gave one of the local Longboarders a go - see pics 5 & 6 and he quite enjoyed it, he said it feld like a swizzle stick compared to the 9'1" he usually rides, but nonetheless had some fun. I rode his Mal whilst he "had a bat", and mate, it's a different story when you get on those boards.

As mentioned in another thread I'll most lilkely be in Sydney between Dec 08 - Dec 13 so I could take it back with me and pass it around to a few of the posters on here...
pM me your details and we will try to sort something out, definitely want to get it down there and we have Dug keen from South Oz too, so we might be able to get it right around Oz, lets hope so......

Great pics Butts, top stuff as usual...Whats the go with the other aqua-blue boards in the pics ??? only 2 other boards in shot and they just happen to be that colour ??? some nice turns SDC, look like good little waves to test the board out and the artwork looks cool...

SDC, is there a problem with the leggy ? or did you just wanna use your own ???

Didn't like the leggie that was on it, so I used my own one. Aqua and Blue must have been the colour of the day.

Waves were pretty small that day, but had a little bit of shape to em. Good fun thought.

3. Such a shame

Another on the front-page.
Me thinks the "tester" and I will have another go soon, many props for having a go
in trying conditions. Broken boards, heaps of smack downs and a section that
just pitched and pinched all morning. 8)

Nice again Butts.

I know what you mean about the water drops in #2, but it gives it a slightly Van Gogh esque quality to it.

I woke up this morning around 6.00 ish and saw the pre sunrise light show out east and thought you would like a few shots of that. Just amazing this morning.

Well done just for getting out there, both tester and photog.

Update, update, update!!

Well this morning was MY TURN to have a crack at the bat 8)
And what can I say, happy days. Had a ball.
First wave of my session, managed to jag the wave of the morning,
amongst woops and cheers, made the drop and then proceeded to do a
double twist with a half pike exit from the board! 8)
Does she hook in or WHAT  Fark, definately got a shock, my other boards are
nothing like this!!
So easy to paddle in, more like a 6'6" actually, and handled any type of drop I threw at it.
Proceeded to continue on with several straighthanders, couple of lefts and one nice right.
Loved it, but want MORE time on it
It "could" be getting another outing TOMORROW morning, now I know what to expect
MP what colours does SHE come in?

You mean you didn't break any part of your person, other persons or said bat?

It’s a sign.

MP, he’ll have one with crash test dummy yellow and black striped rails and an enforceable exclusion zone. Consider a single recess on the deck for his monopod, where talking camera, not equipment. :P

You must be talking about what I described to mark as a 'slingshot' effect.

Yes, it does hook in, and when it really grabs it seems to send you flying.

Ric, that pic is now a work of art.

Butts had another go this morning

Head must have not been in it, cause I was ALL over the shop
I couldn't seem to do anything right :?
Waves were definately softer today, maybe that had something to do with it.
Not happy jan, and won't get another go until after it comes back from OS as I have to concentrate
on reno's now! :x

MP, said person hasn't contacted me, you want to shoot me an SMS with their mobile number
and I'll chase em up

thats a bummer, they usually go well in the softer and slower waves, the extra area and flatter rocker lets them get up and go, maybe you shouldnt had those tequila shots for brekky   ???

if the girl isnt keen or doesnt make contact, you better have another few surfs or I am sure somebody will put their hand up ??? ( i have a list of Sydneysiders who are keen ).... its gotta go to lessormore about the 5th or 6th of Sept....
