It’s pretty flat. Would be fun in say bells at head high plus
I bought an old Warren Cornish board exactly like that, same era, when I was living in Newy.
Had intentions of giving it a go just for fun, but never got around to it.
Ended up just giving to the ding repair guy down at Rehead, he did a few cheap repairs for me and he liked it.

Went out to Plomer this arvo. This really knowledgeable guy on a surf forum said it would be a good idea.
Probably would have been okay a few hours earlier.

Went down to longy with low expectations and I wasn't disappointed. Still managed a couple of fun waves before the onshore totally messed it up. It was the shortest period windswell I can remember. I looked back as I left and it looked like a lake with mushy waves breaking close to one another due to the wind.

I had a bank to myself for a while, until a couple of the local fellas saw me get a couple of little runners all the way to the beach ... it didn't last long, the tide swallowed it faster than a benchong on Loofy's cock.

Thought I’d try to go for a dip about 12:30. This is an ambitious decision around here on a hot Summers Day.
Decided to be even more ambitious and packed the foamy theorising that I may as well and can just go for a swim if it’s shite.
Traffic banked up from Francis St to the roundabout. Thought what the Fcuk and crawled along. Continued to crawl through the car park. Beach super crowded but as is often the case the surf wasn’t. Non surfers take all the parking spots.
Finally nabbed one right up the north end. There was a little right peeling through occasionally just down from the flags.
Heaps of people swimming outside the flags. I went out and ended up catching a few through the swimmers.
I actually ended up having this little peak all to myself for 40 minutes. Stoked.

Nice one beans. Always good to jag a few fun ones when everything is suggesting it's not worth it

Woo!
Wind went just north enough to turn on a few peaks at the northern end under a headland. Tide just right, super clean peak. Speed runs, slashes and a few tube attempts.
Went with low expectations and it over delivered in a big way.

Nice one Channels.
I just surfed really fun, chunky b-grade waves at the local Point.
Had a ball.

No desire to join the e-bike hoards to avoid the parking pain?

Can you imagine the number of young girls who would want to sit on it?

My son tried that and he gave it up pretty quickly. Pretty clumsy with a board on the side. There’s a lot of scooters down the beach.
I don’t trust drivers around here when I’m in a car. I will go a couple of blocks to get into the park on a bike and that’s hair raising enough half the time.

Pretty much me without the gut and with a surfboard on the side. E bikes are heavy and fairly top heavy if you have one with the battery on the back

Kirra. Took my daughter out for her first go out on a QLD point break. Helped her catch a bunch of the smaller inside runners, then when she’d had her fill I hit the point up. Chest to shoulder high with some head high take offs on the sets. Surfed the 7’0 single fin pintail. Fun as!
