Actually seen the odd nugget being ridden over at the Bra lately. Still waiting to see someone really put it together. Might have to wait till I see Hatchie in action.
There was a chunky middle aged dude out when it was fairly big a couple of weeks ago. He was man handling it on a couple of reasonably solid peaks but he tended to make it look like hard work. Just trying to push it through a bunch of moves without the flow and the effortless grace that the Nugget is renowned for.

Yeah right

that MC is fucking fantastic, so slick, clean in turns, feels a bit more like the deep concave than other reverse vees. super sensitive off the wing, very sure of itself. I picked all that up in about an hour of shitty 2' rip bowl lefts and rights this arvo, when you get that much information off a board in those conditions you know it's really a fucking good board.

Nick. Have you ever had a conversation or any dealings with Geoff McCoy regarding surfboards? If so do tell

Someone snapped a shot of Hatchy recently somewhere down the south coast:

I was having a pleasant surf this morning, five of us on a point break, I'd just paddled further up the point and a bit further out, when I saw the back and dorsal fin of a large shark breaching about 30m from me. It was about 6' of its back and 2' of dorsal fin.

I looked around and yelled out to the other guys "Did you see that?"

They didn't. A wave came and I took it and then paddled back out and told the guys what I'd seen. I and two others paddled in.

I wasn't going to report it, then thought what if someone was attacked! So I told the people I passed as I went back to my car and reported the sighting to Maritime Services.

Same place, pretty good surf today, around 10 out, but spread over 100m, lots of good bombs, sets well overhead.

Outer reefs and a low tide broke up the swell, so not much on offer and lots of dissatisfied surfers.

Been a while since I’ve sat back had a beer and thought about some of the waves of the day. And it still sounds like it’s chucking it in from the deck. Yew.

Just been watching the Coastalwatch cam at Fairy Bower. Yes, full vision at night.

God I miss that place.

I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.

Oh man. This morning was beautiful.

3-4ft sets, zero wind. I paddled out off the rocks and took up a position outside of the pack, which just happened to be the perfect spot for a wide one. I took off, flew down the line and into the longest barrel I have ever had in my life.

Time truly stood still, I rode it until it got so small I couldn't quite pop out of it, but it didn't matter. I almost never get barrelled, so that vision is going up on the memory bank mantlepiece for sure!

What a great few days of waves.

What a difference a day makes.

It’s dropped a foot at least and swell direction causing close outs. And crowds around. Guess I’ll just bank an uncrowded 4/5ft rippers from yesterday. Sigh
