Wait, you can't tell when you've got a broken fin, Herr Trev?
???
Well, it's got a decent sized centre fin. I knew it was broken. Just didn't want to stop surfing.
Could probably run it a a single.

I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.

I was disappointed the WSL didn’t highlight the driftwood
But I certainly look forward to a barrel there on my twinnie one day

I’m spending a few days at Rainbow Bay. I have surfed here occasionally since 1971. This weekend has easily had the longest average length of board I’ve ever seen. The waves have been longboard suitable, but still, all these teenagers carrying giant surfboards. I’ve been surprised. I don’t get out enough.

Very low hipster component. It’s seems like every Tom, Dick and Carrie including the groms.

How many don't have legropes?

It’s great young people surfing logs and other stuff. Great to see fit and dexterous youth grooving as opposed to....us.

Well there is that.

There’s a young hipster up here who rides logs exclusively. Classy surfer. It’s 99% shortboard environment so it’s good to see.

Speaking to my life guard neighbour who reckons there will be ample time spent out of the water this year as SLS has been given funding to utilise drone technology shark alerts (think he said 16m). He speculates drone operators and surf club officials will be calling people out of the water for sharks that are spotted in deeper water. He’s predicting a panic stricken pain in the arse Summer.

Example, the shark that was spotted here on the weekend was out to sea. Never came in, apparently.
