Despite the strong cross shore i did ok this morning in the south corner. Still some fun ones running nicely along the left rip bank. Swell definitely seemed to be increasing mid morning onwards.

Was way bigger and more lined up towards sydney than down the coast today. Was a lay day down here, heavy southerly wind in the morning with a 3ft swell and washing machine conditions which converted to a mixed bag of shit in the afternoon as the wind dropped and swung e/n/e. Just wind swell that wasn't making waves anywhere. Didn't look anything like the pics i saw from sydney.

It’s gone to shite now. But a little earlier there was a window of semi-clean conditions with some good inside bowls to tear up. Easy three foot plus sets and building with plenty of waves coming through in between. And some push to it.

Took the new twinny out at the point and it goes unreal.
Heaps of fun.
Pretty happy that first self shaped board isn’t a dog.

Sold it.
It had heaps of rocker and was very, very loose.
I had some great sessions on it but it wasn’t that versatile imo. It started to get a bubble on the deck so I got rid of it while it still had some currency.
The red 6’10 one, pictured in the same thread, I have ridden too and is a lot easier to get on with.

Understand. Had a twinny with lots of rocker years ago. Funnest board in pockety waves, non stop turns. But a bit of a dud thru flatter sections

Who in their right mind would shape a twinnie with lots of rocker ... a proper good twin should have minimal rocker.

And no ... thats not mini-mal rocker !

You’d know who I’m referring to. But I won’t name him.

To clarify, it had more rocker than a usual twin. “Lots” is probably an over statement. Fins set a little further forward and closer to the stringer than usual.

Super whippy top to bottom and on its day was a great board. Would be well suited for somewhere like d’bah with a constant bowl. Just not much good in anything fuller faced.

Mine went amazing in those conditions where the swell seems to stand up on the bank/point but didn’t have heaps of grunt.

You’d be happy to know that this one is flat as, Yule. Flatter than MR’s.
After shaping it I kind of wanted a bit more nose kick but it didn’t seem problematic yesterday.

It was quite small on the low at first light. Seems to have kicked now.

Super inconsistent down coast. Long waits. Not much grunt, it's only 4ft or so on some sets, mostly smaller. Think it's sort of missing us.

Some decent sized sets around here. Bronte looked good until you actually saw how many sets were breaking. 30 guys out. Bondi had okay little waves in between very regular large closing out sets. Looked like hard work.
