O.k fella's, im after the difference between a noserider, and a hi performance mal, say, 2 boards, both 9"2'. What would be the difference in terms of rocker, wide point, nose and tail width fin etc.

Noserider: 50/50 rails; big single fin right at the back of the board; hips at the back half of the board; flattish rocker.

Performance: Down rails; 2 + 1 fin set up, lots of rocker, wide point further up the board, concaves on the bottom.

That's my take on it.

I would say he modern noserider for these days is viewed as being around 23 wide, with a wide nose like 19", with a tear drop nose concave and a wide, yet pulled in tail for turning... single fin with maybe two side plugs for turning and all round performace...

Personally the best noseriders for aus have a little bit of tail and nose rocker for those hollow point sections, with mainly 50/50 rails and a big single fin, with a small or no tear drop concave, just normal gradually eased concave. 9'4-9'8, 22 3/4' to 23', 2 3/4 to 3" thick. 18 1/2" nose.

i disagree in saying pigs are good noseriders.

They are in the pocket in more hollow right hand point breaks, but u cant ride them out in the face when a waves lacks pocket and in fat waves.

ive riden my fair share, and i reckon nothin beats a pretty flat rockered (with tail kick) with a gradual nose concave with a rolle dbottom with round/knifey rails.
and a single fin
