Miller SUBX
There's been talk on here about Grants boards so here's the guy himself surfing (from his site):-
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XLrgebFkGk8. Got a SUBX & love it, no affilation, just a 62ys surfer really enjoying his 7' subx board.

Might be my next board, UT. I'm headed in that direction. The testimonials about it suggest it to be capable of more than it looks

SWVIC, you'll be surprised. I've had so much fun on my 7'er I decided (at 62) I could go shorter so I'm about to pickup a 6'9" with lots of tweaks on the first one.

Single? 2+1? Quad? All 3? I'm about to collect this

Re: Miller SUBX
No. This thing has quite a few similar elements though. SUBX is considerably more foam again. If you'd have suggested 3 yrs ago that I'd now be riding a board like this, I'd have laughed at you

Re: Miller SUBX
Yeah. I'd always thought my shoulder was a soft tissue thing and expected to eventually have it pretty much 'fixed' by surgery. When I initiated doing just that the MRI revealed osteoarthritis. I have bone grinding on bone - I often hear it. It aches continuously and also causes acute pain if I put the joint in a position it no longer appreciates. Surgeon recommends waiting for as long as I can to do anything because treatment options are limited. In Feb last year, he said pain would have me back within 2 years. He was right

Re: Miller SUBX
I had 9 months back on a board which helped a lot. This time was supposed to be a minor hiccup and it would have been if not for infection. Even now, I'm still in a way better position than last year, and I'm confident I'll get back on a board before spring. I expect to be on a longer board for a good while, but I should get back eventually, and after my experience, mate just cruising along will keep me stoked while I slowly get better.

Worse comes to worse I'll get JD to make me a paipo or something and be a gut slider
Re: Miller SUBX
Haha. I've thought the same. Rely on flippers rather than shoulders

Just using flippers is bloody hard work...just saying!
