My mate is really enjoying his and he's a petty good surfer.

He's done nothing but surf for nearly his whole life. He came from a wealthy Melbourne family who did not care whether he worked or not, so he went for not. Happy, down-to-earth sort of guy.

I'm fascinated by these people.

I'm not very good at doing nothing.

Is it true that Jim Banks's boards have a single to double spiral conspiracy from nose to tail ?

Seen more than a few guys surfing well around here with a Tolhurst “Moe”model.
That thunderbolt tech is pretty $$$ though.
Must be good because they don’t pop up 2nd hand very often.
Yep, Ivebeen looking. Realistically that would get a lot more use than the Mid 6 for me. A bit like me buying a Ferrari to go the shops in.
If I lived at Lennox it would be good though.
There’s a fair few new Tolhurst longboards out in the water down here. Haven’t seen anyone riding them well though. A bit like my old tuflite fish. I always looked at them and thought they looked like they would go great but never saw anyone riding one well. After getting a beat up old one I decided it’s because the people with the dosh don’t have the skills.

Part of the reason Tolhurst went down that route because Harley Ingleby was breaking so many boards. Doing floaters and close out reos on 4-6’ waves on a 9’2” has that effect.

I just looked at these Mid 6’s on line. They are only done in 7ft and 7’6. And the 7’s seem to be all sold out!! It’s an appealing board for better and bigger waves to be sure. Fucking hell I want one!!!!

There’s a whopping big outdoor /sports shop next to Mo Tackle. Owned by the same people.

Well it's pretty busy really. Two surf's a day, chatting with the regulars, the local Balinese are always up to something, local warungs are full of gossip and good food. I'm quite happy hanging on the Bukit and watching the world go by, my mate Chris, is just more of a pro at it. Banksy is no slouch either.
